Option 1

Setting up your home based food licensed cake business 3-hour workshop Cost $400

Registration and licensing requirements, the varying council requirements and Environmental health and food licensing. Regardless if you are in Logan, Brisbane

or in Perth the food licensing laws are all national, the various councils have different requirements.

Public liability what do you really need

What are the costs involved, food safety supervisors’ certificate and organising meetings with council planning and the EHO?  All of this is covered in a 3-hour workshop.

Jackie will show you her licensed home kitchen and advise you of what is required

Jackie will provide a step by step folder of what needs to be done, the stages the costs and assist you with your applications to achieve a food license for your home.

You will be ready to submit your application to the council an proceed with clarity.

Jackie will sign off the food safety supervisors course once you have completed it and assess you,  should your council require it at no extra cost to you.

Option 2

Jackie will visit your home based kitchen

As option 1, however, Jackie will visit your home kitchen and not be given a tour of her kitchen.

Contemporary Cakes offer a service where Jackie can either visit you and your home base workspace,

to give you the advice on your kitchen to help you get your home-based business a food license.

Alternatively, Jackie can also offer a Skype service should you be further afield.

All of this is covered in a 3-hour workshop with you.

The cost is $600 depending on your location.

Jo Home-based food license Inspection Review

I engaged Jackie from Contemporary Cakes and Classes to advise me on the council requirements and the application process to having my home based cake business licenced.

I decided to have a 1 on 1 session where Jackie came to my home and we worked through what was expected of a home-based kitchen with Brisbane City Council.
