Wedding Cakes

Weddings are most certainly an occasion for celebration, and no wedding would be complete without a wedding cake.                              


Contemporary Cakes bake the cake you want, the way you want it, for your special day.

A wedding cake is always a centrepiece of a wedding and they are always unique. They will make a great talking point and not just on the day. Many couples keep the top tier of their wedding cake to be used again as a christening cake or to celebrate their first anniversary together.

Whether you want a cake that is something traditional, contemporary or a little quirky, I will do my very  best to make sure that your cake is the one that people are talking about at the next wedding!

When to order?

Please allow as much time as possible.A minimum of 3 months is best as sometimes certain dates fill quicker due to the popular less hotter months and so be sure to place your order not too late.

How to order?

My meetings are by appointment only and  I can organise a time to suitably meet.

Before I arrange an appointment to meet with you, I will send you an email with a cake questionaire.

This has a variety of questions that will then determine the size,the serves whether for dessert or for a coffee serve. Whether you are wanting to keep a tier for your first anniversary. After I have gathered the information I will then send you a price costing.
This then informs you of what the costs will be before attending an appointment.

Once you have received the price costing  and you are wanting to book me in to create your cake I will then organise a time to meet to finalise the design.

Some couples will then book and pay the 50% deposit, without meeting with me when the design is quite clear and decisive of what they are wanting and also if they are interstate. 

Consultations.

My meetings are held in my Food Licensed cake studio in Daisy Hill. This is where your wedding  cake is baked  and created and you will have the chance first hand to see where all the creativity occurs!
You will also have the opportunity to view a large displa of decorated display cakes too, as well as Wedding shortbread cookies and figurines.

Consultations are for approx 30 minutes and I will normally ask you to bring any colour samples, fabrics, design sources that you may have collected  that you are using for your wedding celebrations. Some Brides will have a wedding planning  folder with all their ideas and designs in, so remember to bring that along too.

Cake samples.

I offer cake samples only at a consultation and there is no charge for the samples and they are packaged for you to take home and share with other family members.

Booking and payment.

I require 50% non refundable deposit and the balance to be paid 2 weeks prior to the wedding day.

You can pay by Internet banking or by Cheque or by Eftpos at your consultation.
